Four-year old Oumoh met her mother for the first time in 5 months in what is being described as a “rare reunion” as over 21,000 refugees arrive in Italy yearly with more than 2,000 of them being unaccompanied minors. Her mom had fled with her from Ivory Coast to save her from Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) after which they got separated in Tunisia. Oumoh was then rescued by Italian coast guards from the Mediterranean in November 2016 and was identified shortly after by another refugee child from a photo she had seen on someone’s phone. The mother had to this to say I didn’t abandon her. I would not abandon my child; She is my child, she is my blood.

Reno Omokri, an ex-aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of lack of transparency over how much he paid for his medical trip to the United Kingdom.
Tell us how much of Nigeria’s money you used on your medicals during the trip to London, Omokri says to Buhari. Omokri, in tweets on Friday, March 31 evening, accused President Buhari of failing to ‘walk the talk’ on his campaign for transparency in governance.
According to Omokri, Buhari is a servant of the people and is accountable to them. Failure to disclose how much he paid for his medicals from Nigeria’s funds during vacation to the United Kingdom, Omokri said, is plain wrong.
